What you can build on Cater

  • Care by message. Patients pay a monthly fee and complete an assessment online. A clinician reviews it, replies by secure message and arranges prescribing or pharmacy delivery where appropriate. Scheduled check-ins continue the care.
  • A program for one condition. An assessment, care plan and twelve weeks of check-ins and group sessions. Patients pay as they go or for the program.
  • Employer-funded services. An employer covers six sessions per employee. Your team tracks coverage and bookings; the employer receives reports on use. Employees can pay for further sessions themselves.
  • Online groups. An eight-week video series with registration, payment, reminders and check-ins between sessions.

An ongoing relationship with patients gives you a way to introduce the next service, work with another payer and develop more than one source of revenue. Cater gives those services a common patient experience and the tools to run them.

Interactive product preview Quillon Health Fictional

A fictional clinic offering care by message. The patient completes a short assessment and pays the monthly fee. “See what the clinic sees” opens the clinician’s queue, a reply by secure message and a prescription sent to a simulated pharmacy for delivery. Advance two weeks to receive a follow-up check-in by text link.

Hi Arjun, thanks for the detailed answers. Nothing you’ve described needs an in-person visit right now. I’d like you to try an acid reducer for 8 weeks. I’ll send the prescription to our partner pharmacy today. Smaller evening meals help too. If you have trouble swallowing, lose weight without trying or vomit blood, see a doctor in person, or call 911. Hana

Your brand. Publish your apps through your own App Store and Google Play accounts. Your website, messages and patient experience carry your name.

Your custom software. The work we build specifically for your service belongs to the business. It becomes an asset you can develop as you add services. You also hold a permanent licence to the Cater core in your deployment and keep a working copy if you leave.

Access for your developers. Your team can work with the source code and read and write your data through documented FHIR APIs. You can export the data at any time.

Changes you can review.

Describe the workflow you need. We build it, show you a working preview and release it after you approve it.

Connections to your systems.

Run a new service on Cater or connect it to Jane, PS Suite, Accuro or another record system. The launch includes one integration; we map the data and staff workflow with you.

Multilingual access.

English and French are included, with further languages and right-to-left layouts available. For branded apps, your own English and French content is translated with human review and your approval of clinical wording. Patients can use an app, the web or a text-message link; the lightweight experience supports older phones and weak connections.

Single sign-on.

Staff use your organization’s identity provider or Google; patients can use Google or Apple. SSO is included on every offer. Patient and staff tools follow WCAG 2.2 AA.

Running the service

Who helps patients use it?

Your staff can answer directly, or you can add Cater’s 24/7 patient support centre. Human agents answer in your name by phone and in-app chat, helping with setup, sign-in, bookings and payments. Care questions follow the route you set to your clinicians.

What does the AI assistant do?

It handles administrative tasks and answers from care content your clinicians approve. They review it before launch and after changes. It identifies itself as AI, follows your escalation protocol and hands over to a person when asked.

What do patients know about their data?

Your branded trust and privacy centre explains hosting, security, service providers, AI, accessibility and privacy requests. Cater keeps the platform details current; you approve the privacy notice.

Where are patient records kept?

In Canada, under a data-processing agreement with the organization responsible for the records. We supply data-flow diagrams and security documentation for your privacy review.
