Using Cater

You may use the website and previews to learn about Cater and evaluate it for your organization. When requesting a trial on an organization’s behalf, you must have its permission and provide accurate business information.

Do not use these services unlawfully, interfere with other users, introduce malicious code, bypass access controls or try to obtain information you are not authorized to see.

Trial requests and access

The current sign-up form is a request for trial access. We review the request and email you about setup. A receipt confirms that we received your request; it does not mean a workspace is ready.

Cater Essentials offers 14 days free with no payment card. The trial starts when we make your workspace available and confirm the start date. It does not automatically become a paid subscription. A paid plan requires your agreement to its price and service terms.

Use fictional test patients and information only. Do not upload patient records or use a trial to deliver care. Real patient use requires the appropriate paid service and privacy agreements. You can stop evaluating at any time and contact us to close the trial or request deletion of your information.

Trial access ends after the evaluation period unless we agree otherwise. We may restrict or end access to address misuse, security issues or a breach of these terms. Trial data is for evaluation and should not be your only copy of business information.

Previews and healthcare

Our browser previews use fictional organizations, people and events. Their assistants are scripted. Preview bookings, payments and messages are simulated and have no real-world effect.

Cater supplies software. This website and its previews do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency services. Contact your care provider for questions about your health.

Your information and our materials

You keep your rights in the information you provide. You give us permission to process it to respond to your request and arrange or run your evaluation. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

The website, software and brand materials belong to us or their respective owners. You may share links and reasonable excerpts with colleagues when evaluating Cater. These terms do not transfer ownership of the software or authorize resale. Ownership of custom work is set out in the customer’s written agreement.

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep the website and previews useful and accurate, but they may contain errors, change or be unavailable. A preview does not promise that every shown feature or integration is ready for a particular deployment. We confirm scope, availability and commitments in the applicable service agreement.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or lost profits arising from use of this free website, its previews or an evaluation trial. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibilities or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Paid services and governing law

Paid subscriptions, custom development, patient data processing, support and service levels are covered by separate agreements. If you have a signed agreement with us, it governs the services it covers.

Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law govern these terms, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Contact us if there is a problem so we can try to resolve it.

We will date changes on this page. Material changes to an active trial’s terms will be provided to you before they take effect; they do not apply retroactively.
