Recovery programs. Combine an assessment, exercises, check-ins and classes after an injury or surgery. Patients pay by the visit or for the program.
Employer-funded sessions. Offer six sessions per employee, paid by a local employer. Track eligibility and bookings, with aggregate reporting for the employer.
Classes and groups. Run a series in the clinic or by video, with online registration, reminders and payment.
Supplies with a booking. Patients order braces, exercise bands or a recovery kit. Your supplier ships the order, and patients track it in the app.

Your apps are published through your clinic’s App Store and Google Play accounts. Your web address, texts and emails carry your name.

You own the custom work and hold a permanent licence to the Cater core in your deployment. Keep a working copy and export your data if you leave.

How the service runs in your clinic

Reception and booking.

Patients book, pay and complete forms online. Reception handles questions and exceptions, with training before launch and direct access to our software team.

Your practice system.

We agree which bookings, payments and patient information to connect to Jane, PS Suite, Accuro or your main system. Existing charts, provincial and insurer billing, and compensation files stay where they are.

Clinicians and messages.

Practitioners set care plans and check-in schedules, review answers in Cater and decide what enters the chart. The optional AI assistant handles bookings and approved information, with care questions routed to your team.

24/7 patient support.

Add human phone and chat support in your clinic’s name for sign-in, bookings and payments. Clinical questions go to your practitioners.

Languages and access.

Patients use an app, the web or a text link, including on older phones. English and French are included; add languages such as Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu or Arabic. Interfaces follow WCAG 2.2 AA.

What the price counts.: A monthly active patient signs in or has an appointment, message, form or check-in recorded that month. There are no separate charges for clinicians, staff or sites.
Launch package.: Your iPhone and Android apps and website, one configured service, and one integration: a record system, your payment processor, or Apple Health and Health Connect.
Monthly service.: Canadian hosting, maintenance, app-store releases, privacy and security documentation, and three change credits. Unused credits roll over for one month.
Changes and integrations.: Extra credits cost $150 each. Small changes use one credit, medium changes four and large changes ten. We agree the size before starting; larger work is quoted.
Third-party costs.: Developer accounts, texts, video and card processing are itemized at cost. Payments through Cater’s default processor carry an additional 0.5% platform fee. Branded customers can connect their own processor without that fee.
Cater Essentials.: Start with 14 days free, no card required. Booking, forms, care plans and secure messages with your logo, web address and “Powered by Cater”. SSO and a branded privacy centre are included. Monthly add-ons: AI assistants $100, video visits $50 and community $50. Custom work and integrations come with your branded app.
Patient support centre.: Optional 24/7 human help is priced separately for branded apps and custom programs.
Moving to a branded app.: Keep your data and setup. Up to three months of Cater Essentials fees count toward the launch package.
Leaving.: Gap the minimum term and the notice period Data export is available throughout.
